Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to discover, plan and book a trip with Show Me Italy, including people who use a screen reader, keyboard, voice control, screen magnification or other assistive technology. Making our website easier to use for everyone is ongoing work, and we keep improving it.
The standard we work towards
We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 (opens in a new tab) at level AA. We have not had the website formally audited against this standard, so we do not claim that every page fully meets it yet.
Recent improvements include:
- Text colours chosen to meet the WCAG AA contrast ratio for readable text.
- Star ratings announced to screen readers as text, for example “Rated 4.9 out of 5 stars”.
- Scrolling rows and moving tickers that can be reached with a keyboard, and paused by focusing them.
- The homepage video shows a still image instead of motion when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Cookie choices that can be made with a keyboard or screen reader, with optional cookies off until you choose.
Content from other providers
Some parts of the website are provided by other companies: the booking calendars and checkout (FareHarbor, Ventrata and Bókun), live chat, embedded maps and video players. We choose and configure these carefully, but we do not control how accessible they are.
If anything stops you from booking or finding information, please contact us. We are happy to help you choose a tour and make your booking by email or phone instead.
Report a problem or ask for help
If you find something hard to use, or need information in a different way, tell us:
- Email: booking@showmeitaly.com
- Phone or WhatsApp: +39 06 4543 0994
- Our contact form
It helps us if you include the address of the page, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser or assistive technology you were using.
What happens next
We read every report, review the issue, and work towards resolving it. If a fix will take time, we will help you another way in the meantime and let you know what we are doing.
